Practicing physician in former Yugoslavia from 1983 to 1994. Residency in Neuro-psychiatry at University Medical Center Sarajevo, Hospital Kosevo. In period from 1994 on worked with refugee groups in refugee camps in Croatia / with Physicians Without Borders/on assessment of war related trauma.
In US, worked as a Coordinator of Tri State/MA, VT an NH/refugee mental health project for International Institute Boston, until early 1999. From 1999 until 2009 worked as a Counselor and a Coordinator of a Refugee and Immigrant Program at Massachusetts General Hospital Chelsea Health Care Center.
Presented at various state, national and international conferences and meetings addressing mental health and social needs of newly arrived groups/ refugees to United States. Currently, Dr. Zubcevic is the Chair of the Massachusetts Mutual Assistance Association Coalition (MAA Coalition).

Alica Arsic, Senior Case Manager/Bookkeeper
Alica is a graduate of the University of Sarajevo, majoring in Mathematics and Natural Sciences. Ms. Arsic taught mathematics in one of Sarajevo’s high schools from 1979 to 1994. She resettled in the U.S. as refugee in August of 1994 as a result of the Bosnian civil war. Ms. Arsic worked at Franklin Public Library from 1995 to 2011. In 2003, Ms. Arsic began working at BCCRD Inc. as a Refugee Case Manager, Citizenship Coordinator, and CSP program provider headed by Mass Health Insurance. She currently holds the Bookkeeping position at BCCRD Inc.

Melika Gutosic, Case Manager
Ms. Gutosic holds a law degree from the University of Sarajevo Law School. She served as a Judge in a town called Brcko, Bosnia, until 1992. She relocated to the U.S. in 1996. Before joining the BCCRD team, Ms. Gutosic worked at the International Institute of Boston as a case manager. She still provides services to the International Institute of Boston on a per diem basis.

Gopal Acharya, Case Manager/SNAP Coordinator
Mr. Acharya is a native of Bhutan. He left the country with his parents who were evicted as refugees to Nepal in his early childhood. He lived in refugee camp in Nepal for 17 years and at the mean time studied in Nepal and India and obtained a bachelor's degree in Science (3 years). Mr. Acharya resettled in the U.S. in 2008.With continuation of his studies, he has graduated with a bachelor degree in Chemistry from Salem State University in May, 2014. He has been mainly working as a Case Manager in MBHP program, Nepali interpreter and SNAP coordinator at BCCRD,Inc.for more than 5 years.
Gyan Sharma, Case Manager
Mr. Sharma was born in Nepal but grew up and studied in India. He holds a Masters degree in Business Administration (MBA). He also has an extensive experience in sales, marketing, and business management. Mr. Sharma relocated to the U.S. in 1997. He mainly works with refugees from the Nepali speaking communities from Bhutan,and the Nepali.He has been mainly working as a case manager in the MBHP program at bccrd, Inc.

Lalita Sharma, Case Manager
Lalita is originally from India (Kolkata), but was born and raised in Nepal. She Studied in a catholic school, Saint Mary’s Higher Secondary School, in Kathmandu, Nepal. She received her Bachelors in English and was an English Teacher in a Catholic school for 17 years. Besides teaching she has also organized cultural events, choreographed dances and has hosted many programs in Nepal. Her hobby is to dance and she has performed in different programs in Nepal as well as in America.
Lalita came to USA (New York) in the year 2007 and moved to Massachusetts in 2008. She worked at Dunkin Donuts for about four and a half years as a manager. Besides her job she has done volunteer work in different organizations and community including BCCRD where she presently works.

Yahye Osman, Case Manager
Yahye was born Somala. He came to united states on 04/15/2004. He started Chelsea High School in 2004 and graduated 2008. He now attends Bunker Hill Community College in Charlestown, MA, majoring in Computer Science.
Janice Cudjoe began serving as an intern for BCCRD in the spring of 2014, and she has served as a case manager during her time here. Janice is currently a student at Bunker Hill Community College, and she is pursuing a degree in human services.
Musa Tairab, Volunteer/Translator
Mudathir "Musa" Tairab was born and raised in Darfur, Sudan. He received a high school diploma from Altmuz Private High School in Khartuom, Sudan. Musa speaks three languages- Arabic, Zagawa, and English- and has visited, lived in, and worked in countries including Kenya, Egypt, Uganda, and Libya prior to resettling in the United States in 2013.
Musa began his time at BCCRD at the beginning of 2014 as a volunteer and has been working at BCCRD for the past 5 months as an Arabic translator for the Arabic speaking community. Musa will begin as a student at Bunker Hill Community College in fall 2014, and he hopes to pursue a degree in engineering.
Our intern, Patrick McGrath, joined us in summer 2014. He hails from Andover, MA and he is a rising senior at Tufts University, studying International Relations. He is handling our social media presence and will publish our quarterly newsletter.
Claire Marinello, AmeriCorps Member
Ms. Marinello graduated from Boston College in 2013 and joined the AmeriCorps New American Integration Program that fall. Until July 2014 she ran our Education Department and served as our ESOL and civics teacher. She was also our unofficial IT person and webmistress.
